Brooke thoroughly enjoyed hers...

... and I, obviously, was in hog heaven!

So, give it a try! Just be careful to not overcook it....
The true beauty of a pizookie is on the inside!
Chocolate Chunk
2 1/2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon beaten egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
White Chocolate Macadamia Nut
2 1/2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon beaten egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3 tablespoons white chocolate chunks (or chips)
3 tablespoons chopped macadamia nuts
Peanut Butter
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon beaten egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoon unsalted peanuts
Oatmeal Raisin Walnut
2 1/2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon beaten egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons raisins
1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees F.
2. Combine all ingredients for cookie of your choice up to, but not including, the flour, in a small bowl and beat with an electric mixer on high speed until smooth. Add flour and baking soda (plus oats and cinnamon if making the oatmeal raisin walnut cookie) and stir well by hand. Stir in remaining ingredients then press the dough into a small buttered pie pan, cake pan or 6-inch deep-dish pizza pan.
3. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until cookie begins to brown. Cool for a minute or so, add 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, and serve.
Serves 2 for dessert.
(PS The title of this blog sounds totally unrelated to the entire post... unless you're my BFF Jill! You see, once upon a time, Jill and I went to Oregano's in Mesa for a pizookie and when I asked if they could make a pizookie half chocolate chip and half macadamia nut, our flirty waiter pretended like he didn't know what I meant. Well, I didn't catch on to that, so I proceeded to explain to him how it would work, in my mind, putting a glob of dough on one side and another glob of dough on the other, then the magic of baking would bring the two flavors side by side into one delicious pizookie for us to share. Brilliant, right? The dude had me going for awhile... Jill caught on immediately. It was quite entertaining. Ever since then, ANYTIME the topic of pizookies comes up and Jill is anywhere in the vicinity, she immediately starts to imitate that fateful day at Oregano's!)
