This is a late blog, but I've got to start somewhere on catching up, right?
For Christmas, I took Greg to Disneyland. It's a little insane how much this man loves Disneyland and anything Disney... but knowing Greg I've come to realize that he's not the only one. There's plenty! So, of course he was beyond excited for his Christmas present. Man I done good!
But going to Disneyland with Greg turned out to be more of a present for me than for him. EVERYTHING was perfect and magical! It helped that Greg was our own personal map for Disneyland (he could direct me to the nearest bathroom... as long as I could follow directions). And of course, we had no children to lug around and slow us down. Let me just briefly share some of the magical happenings of our day.
Gregory, I know you're having a rough day. I hope this post brings happy memories! Now, relax and check out the slide show! Oh, and the rest of my readers, I hope this post brings happy memories! Now, relax and check out the slide show!

It helped that Greg was our own personal map for Disneyland (he could direct me to the nearest bathroom... as long as I could follow directions). And of course, we had no children to lug around and slow us down. Let me just briefly share some of the magical happenings of our day.
- We left Santa Paula early enough to get there before the gates opened. The traffic was non-existent so we were actually an hour early and among the first in line to get tickets. Shortly after 7am, we bought our tickets and then headed over to stand in the general admission line. A Disney worker stopped us and asked if we had magical morning passes. We didn't, but she took care of that and poof! we were in Disneyland ONE HOUR early with no crazy crowds and lines. We rode Nemo, Space Mountain twice (front row both times), Pirates, Matterhorn and probably some other rides (that, Greg, you can add in the comments....) before the park even opened! Pretty much, we did in one hour what it takes the crowds to do in half a day!
- Greg knows the ins and outs of the Fast Pass system! Many people mistakenly think that you must return to your fast pass ride within the one-hour time frame, but Oh con trayr! You can use the pass anytime after the beginning of the one-hour time frame, but you can't get another fast pass until that beginning time has also passes. The Fast Pass Gods were kind to us that day... we had 3 fast passes at once and because of that, the longest we ever waited in a line was 35 minutes for Peter Pan.
- Speaking of line waiting, we virtually never had to do it. Seriously, we just about walked on to every ride we wanted. Not because it wasn't crowded (it was Dec. 23rd which equals crowded) but because our timing was impeccable all day.
- Being just the two of us, we didn't have to stake out seats for the fireworks show by the castle or Fantasmic. We just showed up and snuck our way around the people who had waited for hours to hold a spot for the whole fam damnily.
- It rained the day before we went to Disneyland. And it rained the day after we went to Disneyland. But the day we went to Disneyland? Not a drop until after the day was practically over. Yet another Christmas miracle.
Gregory, I know you're having a rough day. I hope this post brings happy memories! Now, relax and check out the slide show! Oh, and the rest of my readers, I hope this post brings happy memories! Now, relax and check out the slide show!

MAJOR jealousy is occurring right now! I know I just went to Disneyworld a few months ago- but I can't help it. I hate anyone who gets some Disney in their life when I don't. BTW I know a FANTABULOUS Disney secret that I think will make Greg happier than Brer Rabbit in a briar patch...but it's classified info so if you want it you'll have to email me and give me some top secrets of your own- if you catch my drift ;)
So much fun! OK - clue me in! Are you guys dating? I'm probably the only one who reads your blog who doesn't know, but I'm asking anyway!
I love Disneyland...I get to go there with my fam in March...cute pictures!
