This year, I seem to have a lot of friends celebrating 10 year anniversaries! Oh yeah, it's because they all got married while I was on my mission.
Well, today folks, I'm celebrating MY 10 year anniversary!
Ten years ago TODAY I looked like this:

Sister Rebecca Jean Spendlove
January 24, 2001 - July 3, 2002
Washington Tacoma Mission
Classic Sister Missionary pose. Classic un-plucked eyebrows. Classic un-styled hair. Classic white-collared shirt hanging out of a classic Gap sweater.
A lot has happened in the past 10 years:
Bachelor's degree
Master's degree
8 year career as a math teacher
Bought a house
Bought some cars
Put some stamps in my passport
Fitness Instructor certification
Grew a sense of style
And a lot hasn't happened in the past 10 years:
Marriage
Family
Bring on the next 10...

Wow time has just flown by, it's hard to believe you were entering the MTC 10 years ago. In my mind I feel like we're still in our mid 20's. At any rate,I have such fond memories going to the airport with Keely and Sara Meg to see you off to Tacoma and celebrating with Beto's burritos.
AND don't forget you are an astronaut!
Hmmm... I am trying to remember if I have a similar photo from 13 short months later... I'll have to check on that! If all else fails you always be a "Mom" to me!
Spendy I love this picture, you look so young! Good thing I came along and took care of those unplucked eyebrows huh?:)My 10 yr. is in August, has it really been that long?!
